Before the project, cosnova Beauty had to make a considerable effort to ensure that the product content of its current range was always up-to-date, complete and error-free for its retail and distribution partners. This was especially challenging as the cosmetics specialist refreshes around 50 per cent of its range of 3,000 active SKUs with the same number of new products within a year.

The project

cosnova has optimised the individual product content supply of its retail partners with BAYARD. Master data from SAP and Stibo STEP was merged in Bayard's solution BYRD for this purpose. There, the product content is validated before being released for further distribution. cosnova uses BYRD not only to automatically generate high-quality Excel item sheets, but also to distribute data to retail partners via GDSN.

Results

One of the key success criteria for the cosmetics company is having complete, high-quality product content that is individually tailored to customers. Since cosnova has been working with BAYARD, its product content has not only reached its customers much more quickly, but also without any loss of quantity and at a consistently higher quality. This was a prerequisite for the significant growth of market share, that cosnova gained in the past twelve month.

Results

With BAYARD, the project was implemented at record speed: in less than three months, Danone succeeded in standardising the supply of all product content across its business units to retailers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland via the GDSN. Overall, Danone has succeeded in reducing the complexity of the processes and lowering the costs, while also improving the quality of the data.
