NIQ Brandbank, a major player in the field of product content data management, has decided to connect its Shopper Experience Platform to the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) with BYRD b-synced
NIQ Brandbank (NIQ) will enable users of its Shopper Experience Platform to exchange their product content with their business partners via the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) using BYRD b-synced. NIQ will thus replace the previously used GDSN data pool technology with BYRD b-synced.
“BYRD b-synced offers our customers the best application,” says Steve Burdett, Group Commercial Director at NIQ, praising the BYRD b-synced technology. NIQ Brandbank's Shopper Experience Platform is already used by over 5500 consumer goods manufacturers and retail companies supporting 350k unique products for the pan-company exchange of product content.
NIQ Brandbank is currently expanding its GDSN capabilities rapidly into international markets, where the use of GDSN is expected by retailers. This expansion of capabilities will encompass both markets where GDSN is currently prevalent and well adopted, but also future proofs the solution for expected market deployments where NIQ Brandbank maintains a strong presence. According to Steve Burdett, this is to both support their respective global customer base but also prepares their business to support GDSN as the ‘global currency of product content management’.
When selecting a new partner for the GDSN integration, NIQ Brandbank evaluated numerous relevant providers. “BYRD b-synced's state-of-the-art technology with its flexibility and high level of integration capability convinced us,” reports NIQ Brandbank Director Steve Burdett. In addition to the solution itself, the knowledge and experience of BAYARD's team also played a major role in the decision: “BAYARD’s high expertise in all matters relating to the national design of the GDSN in the various European countries really impressed us,” adds Steve Burdett. In addition to the German-speaking and the Benelux countries, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are particularly important for NIQ.
“We are delighted that more and more product content platforms around the world are recognising the outstanding quality of our technology and relying on BYRD b-synced for their GDSN connection,” says Björn Bayard, Managing Director of BAYARD.
In addition to the technical superiority and experience, NIQ Brandbank Director Steve Burdett expressly praises the Cologne team for the way of working together: “Uncomplicated, at eye level and always solution-orientated.” The new partners have already started to switch the GDSN connection of the Shopper Experience Platform to BYRD b-synced.
