For A.Vogel, supplying retailers and wholesalers with its own product content was a strenuous task involving a great deal of manual effort and prone to errors. A universal system for product content management was missing, as was a standard for the data. This could lead to delays in the listing of products and in the creation of new retail products.
The project
A.Vogel opted for BAYARD's BYRD technology in order to be able to launch new products more quickly in the retail organisations thanks to constantly updated and quality-checked product data. In the project, A.Vogel introduced the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) standard with BAYARD's support and can thus also supply retailers with data via GDSN.

Results
Within a few months, the project partners succeeded in creating A.Vogel's product content in the BYRD technology according to the rules of the GDSN. The specialists from Cologne also created the country-specific requirements for the GDSN data in BYRD in such a way that the product content is automatically checked for completeness for the respective target market.
